Monart drawing classes span the entire school year. Studio classes generally meet once a week and are ongoing year round, with camps and other special programs offered as well. The Academic School Year is divided into four 8 to 12-week terms. Consistent participation is encouraged to maximize artistic skill building and confidence. Full payment of tuition and fees and a completed registration form are required to hold a student’s place in class. Students may enroll at any time during the year if there is availability. High quality art supplies are provided with each class.
Current tuition rates are indicated within the Tuition section. Tuition rates are based on Full Term sessions, however Installment rates may also be available at a higher per class charge. Tuition is prorated when you join mid-term. Tuition and registration forms are due in advance and may be processed electronically, mailed or personally delivered to the studio.
In addition to tuition, each student is required to pay an annual registration fee, due upon initial registration.
We do not offer refunds for classes missed by students or withdrawals. Refunds will only be granted if a class is cancelled by the school or if a student registration is received for a class which is full.
If two or more family members are enrolled in any Monart class, a discount may be applied to the tuition fee of each additional family member enrolled in the same term. Other discounts are generally offered from time-to-time throughout the year.
Classes will always start on time. Therefore, we must take a strong stand on delivery and pick up of your children at the designated times of the class. It is essential to arrive on time since important warm-ups and instructions are given at the beginning of each class. Students arriving more than 10 minutes late may not be allowed to join the class in session. Students must be picked up promptly at dismissal time. Students need to be signed out by an authorized adult before they leave. They cannot be released on their own without a note specifically authorizing this.
We maintain relatively small classroom sizes that enable us to provide the best learning environment possible. Utilizing the Monart method helps us provide the best possible learning experience for every student. The standards set by Monart are high and require that all Monart schools constantly measure themselves for compliance. To create and maintain this environment we must require appropriate behavior from our students. Any activity which distracts/disrupts other students in the class (including late arrival) is unacceptable.
We strive to create a quiet, non-judgmental, safe environment where students are free to explore and create their art. If you choose to remain at the studio during your child's class you are welcome to wait in our lobby/gallery. Please try to remain discreet, and do not allow siblings or other children to gather at, or peer in during class.
